With a potential lifespan of 30 years, our oak composite doors comes with a realistic woodgrain finish that perfectly replicates timber planks. While other door installers also fit windows, conservatories, and other home improvements, we here at Buildmydoor specialise in composite doors alone. This focus allows us to hone our expertise and bring our decades of experience to every installation we perform.VIEW STYLES
While timber doors can seem very appealing, especially to traditional properties, they do require a lot of maintenance. General wear and tear, as well as exposure to the weather, can cause them to warp, chip, peel, and crack. This means that they often need to be sanded, repainted, and varnished every few years. However, one of the major benefits of having a woodgrain style oak composite door is that they offer the same aesthetic appeal without any of the upkeep.
Your composite door is made up of a skin of combined materials, including glass reinforced plastic (GRP), uPVC and natural fibres. These work together to create a robust skin that doesn’t suffer any external damage even after years of daily use. Covered in a professional powder coated paint, your door is also protected from fading, warping and damp. Over the years your new oak composite doors will only need an occasional wash down to get rid of any collected dirt.
All of the composite doors that we install are manufactured to have a solid core. Many composite doors are filled with a high density foam, but this isn’t very robust and can be easily damaged or forced open with excessive force from outside. However, the solid core within our composite doors works alongside Liniar’s steel lined frame to provide protection to your property.
The solid core itself is made up of sixteen separate layers of Kerto laminated timber, each one positioned with alternating grain to prevent any weaknesses from developing. As well as creating a solid structure that is protected for outward force, the body and frame of the door includes a series of thermal breaks. These thermal breaks trap pockets of warm air, preventing heat loss through the door and stopping cold draughts from entering your home.

To help keep your home safe and protected from forced entry and unwanted guests, all of our composite doors come fitted with an Ultion multipoint lock as standard. Approved by the police backed Secured by Design scheme, the Ultion lock features a molybdenum core and a ‘lock-down’ mode to protect the central barrel from being drilled or snapped. It will enter ‘lock-down’ mode when registering any attempt to force or pick the lock, protecting your home from entry.
Each Ultion lock we install comes with a 10 year guarantee as standard. If your lock fails in the event of a break in, we will replace your oak composite door free of charge and offer £2000 in compensation towards any damage to your property. This 10 year guarantee can be easily transferred to any new owners should you sell on your home within that time period.
