3. Our Contract With You
3.1 How we accept your order
A binding contract comes into existence once we provide a written Confirmation of Order, following any survey or agreement on product specifications and price. The Confirmation of Order takes priority over these terms if there is any conflict.
3.2 If we cannot accept your order
We may decline an order if a product is out of stock, there is a pricing error, or we are unable to meet your requirements.
3.3 Order number
You will receive an order number with your Confirmation of Order. Please use this number in all communications with us.
4. Our Products
4.1 Product images and colours
Product images are for illustration only and may not exactly represent the colour or finish of the delivered item. Colours can appear different due to lighting, surface type, or screen displays. BuildMyDoor.co.uk cannot guarantee exact colour matches.
4.2 Accuracy of measurements
If you provide measurements, it is your responsibility to ensure they are correct. We recommend using our survey and professional installation services. We are not liable for faults arising from incorrect measurements provided by you or third-party installers.
5. Product Quality and Guarantees
5.1 General guarantees
Our products are manufactured and installed following industry standards. Specific warranties vary by product type and will be provided in separate documentation.
5.2 Colour and finish disclaimers
Powder-coated and painted products may vary slightly in shade due to manufacturing processes.
RAL colour references are indicative; actual product colours may differ slightly this includes between surface finishes.
Stainless steel products require regular maintenance to preserve appearance. Failure to clean or maintain may void guarantees.
Glass units may show minor deflection, which is normal and not a defect.
5.3 Warranty conditions
Warranties apply only if:
Full payment has been made.
Products have been installed and maintained according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Products have not been altered or damaged due to misuse
6. Lifting, Handling, and Access Equipment
If special lifting or access equipment is needed, it must be discussed and agreed with us before installation. We are not responsible for equipment you provide or damage caused by improper handling.
7. Changes to Your Site or Building
You are responsible for ensuring that openings, structures, and site conditions match the specifications provided during our survey. Any failed installation due to site conditions may incur additional charges.
8. Guarantee Claims
All claims must be submitted in writing to info@buildmydoor.co.uk within 72 hours of delivery. Claims are valid only if the product has been properly maintained and payment is complete.
9. Transfer and Extension of Guarantee
Guarantees may be transferred to a new property owner or extended following a site inspection and payment of applicable fees. Transfers are subject to confirmation that the product has been maintained correctly.
10. Product Changes
We may make minor technical or regulatory changes to products without notice. Significant changes will be communicated, and you may cancel the order for a full refund before the changes take effect.
11. Delivery and Installation
Delivery costs are included in the order price.
Delivery times are estimates; we are not liable for delays outside our control.
You must provide clear access and safe conditions for delivery and installation.
If you fail to attend delivery or installation, additional charges may apply.
Products become your responsibility upon delivery or collection. Ownership transfers upon full payment.
12. Ending the Contract
You may cancel before payment; compensation may apply if cancellation is not due to a fault or misdescription. Bespoke products may have limited cancellation rights and are non returnable.
13. Our Rights to End the Contract
We may end the contract if you fail to meet obligations (e.g., payment, providing access, or necessary information). Reasonable compensation for losses may be charged.
14. Problems With Products
Report missing, damaged, or incorrect products within 72 hours of delivery.
Do not install suspected incorrect products until authorised.
Follow our complaints procedure before posting reviews.
15. Price and Payment
Prices include VAT and delivery.
Payments are due in full at time of invoicing, once payment is received you order will be processed.
16. Liability
We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, business losses, or pre-existing property defects.

We use your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy
18. Other Important Terms
We may transfer our rights and obligations to another organisation.
Your guarantee may be transferred as set out in clause 9.
If any part of these terms is found illegal, the remainder remains valid.
English law governs these terms; legal proceedings may be brought in England or Wales.
We reserve the right to update these T&Cs at anytime.
Ultion Locks & Keys
Doors ordered with Ultion locks from Buildmydoor are supplied with 3 keys as standard.
If you want to buy additional Ultion keys for your door, you can select this during the ordering process. If you you already have your secure front door with Ultion locking system and need further keys just send us a message via our contact page, and we will send you a quote for additional keys.
We just need the unique 10 digit code on your keys if you are not ordering a new door from Buildmydoor.
Ultion Key Guarantee
Our composite doors come with Ultion locks to keep your home or property secure. Made with multiple locking systems and a molybdenum core, these locks are highly durable and robust.
When using our door designer you can choose what type of locks go onto your new composite door. Browse through the multiple options to find what will be best for your property and personal requirements. The Ultion lock ranges comes in various colours and are tested to ensure they are of the highest standard.
If your door is broken into within five years of installation and entry is achieved by the snapping of a Ultion Lock, a £5000 security guarantee applies for doors with an activated guarantee.
Lubricate Your Locks
To maintain smooth operation of your Ultion Lock, follow the guidance from the product information supplied with your keys. A well installed Ultion lock needs lubricating every 6 months. This helps to maintain smooth key turning and prolongs your lock’s life. Do not use oils or WD40
Warranty & Claims
Buildmydoor are a third party front door supplier, and we do not manufacture the composite doors sold. However, on the rare occasions that there are issues with your composite door order we will work with you and the suppliers to rectify any issues.
Please check the product for transit damage & any other issues as soon as possible after your door is delivered. Any issues must be reported within 72 hours and before fitting. Claims reported after fitting may not be accepted by the manufacturer.
