Solid Core Composite Doors
As well as the wind and weather, your front door needs to be able to withstand excessive force. Anyone seeking to gain access to your property will often try and force the door in, which is why it is important that your door is robust and sturdy. Many manufacturers fill their doors with a high density foam, which can often buckle and break under outward force. However, our doors have been manufactured around a central solid core.
Made from sixteen layers of laminated Kerto timber, this solid core is much stronger than either foam or normal timber cores. Each layer is placed with alternating grain, meaning that no grain runs together to create a weak point in the body of the door. As well as being able to withstand excessive force, the Kerto solid core is also thermally efficient. Thermal breaks throughout the body and the frame of the door, trapping warm air and preventing heat loss.
