Pigeon Blue Composite Door in Hythe

This traditional Pigeon Blue composite door was supplied by Buildmydoor and installed by our trusted Hampshire based front door installer for a home near Hythe, Southampton.

The customer chose a Capri 1 door in Pigeon Blue (RAL 5014), combining a traditional design with decorative Ruhlmann glass and antique black hardware.

A Traditional Door in Pigeon Blue

Pigeon Blue is a distinctive but understated colour, and works particularly well with traditional composite door styles.

For this project, the customer chose the Capri 1 from our Traditional range, with a decorative glazed panel to bring natural light into the hallway while retaining privacy.

The finished door combines:

  • Pigeon Blue (RAL 5014)
  • Traditional Capri 1 door style
  • Ruhlmann decorative glass
  • Winkhaus Trulock high-security multi-point locking system
  • Antique black Balmoral lever/lever handle
  • Antique black high-position letterplate
  • 3-star nickel thumbturn cylinder

A Door Designed Around the Home

One of the advantages of choosing a composite door is the ability to customise the details.

From the colour and door style to the glass and hardware, the customer was able to create a combination that suited the property rather than choosing a standard off-the-shelf door.

The Pigeon Blue finish gives the entrance a little more character, while the traditional door style and antique black hardware keep the overall look classic.
