Terms & Conditions

Last updated: September 2026

These Terms & Conditions apply to products and services supplied by Buildmydoor Supply Limited, trading as Buildmydoor.

Please read these terms before placing an order with us. They explain how orders are accepted, how our products are supplied, payment, delivery, installation, cancellations, warranties and what to do if there is a problem with your order.

By placing an order with us, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

2. Products and services

We supply made-to-measure composite doors and related products.

Depending on the product and your location, we may provide:

  • supply-only composite doors;
  • delivery to locations throughout the UK; and
  • supply and installation within our local installation area.

The availability of installation depends on your location, property and the requirements of the installation.

Any specific quotation or order confirmation will set out the products, specifications, price and services applicable to your order.

3. Product information

We make every reasonable effort to ensure that descriptions, photographs, colours and specifications shown on our website are accurate.

However:

  • photographs are for illustration and colours may appear differently on different screens and devices;
  • painted, textured and other finishes may vary slightly between products and batches;
  • RAL and other colour references are intended as guides and may not exactly match the finished product;
  • glass, hardware and other components may vary slightly from photographs shown on the website; and
  • manufacturers may make reasonable technical or specification changes to products.

Where an exact colour or finish is important, we recommend requesting further information or a physical sample before ordering where available.

4. Measurements and specifications

Composite doors are made to the measurements and specifications agreed for your order.

Where you provide measurements yourself, you are responsible for ensuring that those measurements are accurate.

If Buildmydoor or an appointed installer carries out a survey, the survey measurements will be used for the order unless otherwise agreed.

We cannot accept responsibility for problems caused by incorrect measurements supplied by you or by a third party.

You are also responsible for providing accurate information about your property, including access, existing openings and any relevant site conditions.

5. Quotations and prices

Unless otherwise stated, quotations are valid for the period specified in the quotation.

Prices will be confirmed before you place your order.

The price you pay will be the price confirmed in your quotation or order confirmation, subject to any agreed changes.

Where applicable, prices include VAT and delivery. Any exclusions, additional charges or installation costs will be identified in your quotation.

We reserve the right to correct obvious pricing or specification errors before an order is accepted.

6. Placing an order

An enquiry or quotation request submitted through our website does not itself create a contract.

A contract is formed when we have accepted your order and issued written confirmation of the agreed order, including the relevant product specifications and price.

Your order confirmation should be checked carefully. Please tell us as soon as possible if any information is incorrect.

Where there is a conflict between these Terms & Conditions and the specific written terms of your order confirmation, the order confirmation will apply to the extent of that conflict.

7. Bespoke and made-to-measure products

Many of our doors are made to order and manufactured to the dimensions and specifications agreed with you.

Because these products are made specifically for your requirements, cancellation and return rights may be different from those applying to standard, off-the-shelf goods.

We will explain any applicable cancellation restrictions before your order is confirmed.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects your statutory rights.

8. Changes to your order

Once an order has been confirmed and manufacture has started, changes may not be possible.

If a change can be made, additional costs or changes to the delivery date may apply.

We will confirm any additional cost or change before proceeding where reasonably possible.

9. Payment

Payment terms will be confirmed with your quotation or order confirmation.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment must be made in accordance with the payment terms stated on your invoice.

We may not begin manufacture or release an order for delivery until the required payment has been received.

10. Delivery

We aim to meet the delivery date or delivery period provided with your order.

Delivery dates are estimates unless a specific date has been expressly agreed.

You must ensure that there is suitable access for delivery and that any information we require to arrange delivery is accurate.

If delivery cannot be completed because suitable access is not available, nobody is available to receive the goods where required, or information supplied by you is incorrect, additional delivery or handling charges may apply.

You should inspect your order as soon as reasonably possible after delivery.

11. Damage, shortages or incorrect goods

Please check your products carefully when they arrive.

If an item appears to have been damaged during transport, is missing, or is not the product ordered, contact us as soon as possible with details and photographs where appropriate.

Where a product is damaged or incorrect, please do not install it before contacting us and receiving appropriate instructions.

We will investigate reported problems and, where appropriate, work with the relevant manufacturer or supplier to resolve them.

Nothing in these terms removes or limits your statutory rights.

12. Installation

Where Buildmydoor provides installation, the installation arrangements and price will be confirmed as part of your quotation or order.

You must provide safe and reasonable access to the property and ensure that the relevant area is ready for installation.

Additional work may be required if unexpected site conditions are discovered. Where additional work involves an additional cost, we will discuss this with you before proceeding where reasonably possible.

Where you arrange your own installer, you are responsible for ensuring that the installer is suitably qualified and follows the relevant manufacturer’s installation requirements.

13. Product warranties

Products supplied by Buildmydoor may be covered by manufacturer warranties or guarantees.

The applicable warranty will depend on the product and components supplied and may be subject to specific conditions relating to installation, maintenance, use and care.

Warranty details will be provided where applicable.

Warranties do not generally cover damage caused by misuse, neglect, unauthorised alteration, failure to maintain the product correctly, or circumstances outside the manufacturer’s warranty conditions.

Your statutory rights are not affected by any manufacturer’s warranty.

14. Care and maintenance

You are responsible for following the care and maintenance instructions supplied with your products.

Some components, including locks, handles, stainless steel and other hardware, require regular maintenance.

Failure to maintain products in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions may affect the validity of a manufacturer’s warranty.

15. Ultion locks and keys

Where a door is supplied with an Ultion locking system, the relevant manufacturer’s terms and guarantee conditions apply.

Additional keys may be available for Ultion locks. Where applicable, we may require the unique key code or other security information before additional keys can be ordered.

Any separate Ultion guarantee is provided by the relevant manufacturer and is subject to its own terms and conditions.

16. Cancellation

Your cancellation rights depend on the type of product or service you have ordered and whether manufacture or installation has already begun.

Where you are purchasing a bespoke or made-to-measure product, cancellation rights may be restricted once manufacture has started because the product has been made specifically to your requirements.

We will explain any applicable cancellation arrangements before your order is confirmed.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects any cancellation or other rights you have under applicable consumer law.

17. If something goes wrong

If you believe that a product or service is faulty, defective, damaged or otherwise not as agreed, please contact us as soon as possible.

Please provide your order details and, where useful, photographs or other information that will help us investigate the problem.

We will assess the issue and, where appropriate, liaise with the manufacturer or installer to determine the appropriate remedy.

18. Our liability

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.

We are responsible for losses that are reasonably foreseeable and arise from our breach of these terms or our failure to exercise reasonable care and skill, subject to applicable law.

We are not responsible for losses caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control or for problems caused by information, measurements or instructions supplied incorrectly by you or by a third party.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.

19. Events outside our control

We will not be responsible for delays or failures caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control.

These may include, for example, extreme weather, transport disruption, industrial disputes, supply-chain disruption, manufacturing delays, changes in law, or other events that could not reasonably have been anticipated or prevented.

Where such an event affects your order, we will keep you informed and take reasonable steps to minimise the effect.

20. Personal information

We process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it and your rights in relation to your personal information.

21. Website information

We try to ensure that the information on our website is accurate and up to date.

However, the website is provided for general information and product guidance. Product specifications, availability, prices and other information may change.

The specific terms of your quotation and order confirmation will apply to your purchase.

22. Third-party websites and services

Our website may contain links to third-party websites and services, including online product designers and other suppliers.

We are not responsible for the content, availability or terms of third-party websites.

Where you use a third-party service, that service’s own terms and conditions will apply.

23. Complaints

We want to resolve any problems quickly and fairly.

If you have a complaint, please contact us at:

info@buildmydoor.co.uk

Please provide your name, order details and a description of the issue so that we can investigate it properly.

24. Governing law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer, you will also have the benefit of any mandatory consumer protection rights that apply to you under the law of the part of the UK in which you live.

25. Changes to these Terms & Conditions

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.

The version applying to your order will normally be the version in force when your order is accepted, unless we agree otherwise with you or a change is required by law.

The date at the top of this page shows when these Terms & Conditions were most recently updated.
